Garrow Kedigian

Time wasn't on my side yesterday so I wasn't able to prepare a post for today.  I do want to encourage you to visit New York Social Diary over the weekend and read the interview with designer Garrow Kedigian.  Garrow's room at this year's Kips Bay was one of my favorites, and now his Manhattan apartment has become another favorite of mine. Truly, his home makes me want to banish all color in my home and embrace a neutral color scheme.  And for those of you who know me, that's really saying something!

  3. Thanks for the introduction to Garrow and the link to
the NY Social Diary interview. His apartment was quietly authoritative~and not the least bit flashy or self conscious. He's a born classicist. In this day and age, that is refreshing.

THe kind of person you really would like to get to know! Not to mention that his room was even more intriguing in reality!! We will be seeing alot of this great young designer very soon!!!

  6. This a truly talented designer--love his international scope and his apparent lack of ego. Love the classicism. ("Skirted" was wonderful-thank you for sharing)

  8. It was my favorite room at the showhouse too. It was a treat to meet him and have him explain the room to me a bit -he was totally charming (and cute!).

  9. His rooms in the NYSD are absolutely wonderful. So lived in, a Classic. The surfaces are authentic, floors, doors everything. I especially like seeing the piano and it looks like it is used. Not that many rooms are photoed today with them, Do you see many? I also think the unstyled production by NYSD is just what we should see more of in what is left of the mags we enjoy. And Yet, another chic bathroom! I loved yours. GT

  10. Hi Jennifer-

Loved listening to you on SRT...very lively.

Garrow: so talented and classic, yet fresh. He makes it look easy and effortless, and once glance at his collections tells you they were amassed over years and years of tromping around flea markets and auctions and estate sales at 8am.
He will have a wonderful career...
    Happy days, www.thestylesaloniste.com
