Town Toiles

Have you always wanted to see your hometown or favorite city immortalized in fabric? Well, Town Toiles may be just the thing. The Florida based company has created a line of toile fabric and wallpaper that celebrates such cities as Charleston, New York, and San Francisco. Other cities that will make their design debut this year include Atlanta, Palm Beach, and Philadelphia. In addition to fabrics and wallcoverings, they also sell home accessories made from their toiles.

  1. Have you seen the ones that Shelia Bridges has done of Harlem, NYC? She felt that that area wasn't represented in toiles. They're very interesting.

Apparently Tiffany & Co. introduced a "New York Toile" collection in 1994 and it might have been available until 2006.
It mostly featured porcelain pieces adorned with iconic New York City scenes such as the Statue of Liberty, City Hall and the Brooklyn Bridge. I also found a scarf/shawl from the same collection on the web. Google "Tiffany & Co New York Toile". Much prettier imo than the one from Town Toiles :)

    1. Thank you for reminding me of that TCO collection! I believe it was introduced while I was employed there, which would have been in the mid-90s.
