My latest addition to my design wish list? A brass lamp with a shiny brass shade. Of course the ultimate, at least to me, would be to own one by Maison Charles. While I'm waiting for that fantasy to be fulfilled, I might just purchase one from Gracious Home (seen below). I've been on a brass kick lately, but if you prefer a cooler metal, there are plenty of striking chrome lamps out there. And if the thought of all of this metal seems a little cold, just look at how well this type of lamp works in Kate Spade's apartment.

oh, Peak, I would not consider the Gracious Home lamp a compromise - it's fab! As is Kate's apartment. I have gone over and over that layout. It's so chic. She's a KC girl, you know. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat post, I love them all, espeically the drum shade latern and the Parzinger one. Funnily enough I've had my eye on a lamp exaclty like the one from Gracious Home, and had decided I would go buy it this weekend!

ReplyDeleteI like the nickel drum shade lantern. I think it would add a lot of reflection and drama to a dining area or entry hall. Good post on these wonderful lamps.
ReplyDeleteI bought the brass table lamp over the weekend, and I just love it. I'ts much taller than I remembered, and the drum is quite big, so it needs a deep table to sit on - but its fabulous!
