I have their velvet on my living room sofa, and it is quite durable. It's not impervious to dog hair, though. :(The Peak of Chichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02811933436075145329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34961211.post-43389962069423419712014-08-14T09:06:19.386-04:002014-08-14T09:06:19.386-04:00Thomas, That is indeed a lovely green room. When I think of Paris, I think of all those little red shades - will now have to add green silk ones to my memories. As a matter of fact, I may have to think about using them next to my dark green linen velvet sofa (with Fortuny pillows), the next time I need new shades!srbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02856563845261571825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34961211.post-46973485886524485992014-08-12T12:53:34.209-04:002014-08-12T12:53:34.209-04:00Love of Bottle Green is a requirement of friendshi...Love of Bottle Green is a requirement of friendship. Then again, dark greens are a wonderful foil to blue and white porcelain--see Charles de Bestigui's dining room at Groussay, or Mario Buatta's velvet-walled show house room where<br />the Christopher Hobbs faux delft urns are perched on gilt brackets--of which these are merely 2 examples of that potent mix. As I have a little 4 1/2 lb. dog who lives on the sofa, the velvet needs to stand up to the 'drool factor.'
